Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Will Bid Farewell to the Current Factory Ford GT Program at Le Mans 24 Hours With Celebration Liveries

Ford has a long and celebrated history at Le Mans 24, the legendary 24-hour endurance race that dates to 1923 and takes place annually in Le Mans, France. Ford has a long history in the Le Mans 24, winning six times. That history will be celebrated in the upcoming Le Mans 24 with four special celebration liveries--or paint schemes.

End of An Era

The liveries are being used to mark the end of the current Factory Ford GT Program of cars. All four schemes have a special meaning, calling back to the Le Mans Ford cars of yesteryear.

  • The No. 66 Ford GT sports a black livery that pays homage to the winning 1966 Ford GT40.
  • The No. 67 Ford GT livery, which is red with white accents, is a nod to the 1967 Ford GT40.
  • The No. 68 Ford GT livery, featuring a blue hood, red tail and white trim, honors Ford's most recent Le Mans 24 triumph in 2016!
  • Finally, the No. 69 Ford GT, white with red accents, takes its inspiration from the 1966 GT40 that finished second the year Ford swept the top three spots!
